ABBE Regional Library System issued the following announcement on March 7.

As part of the library’s renovation celebrations, the Sunday, March 20, event, titled Book Tasting Around the World, will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. and will have a focus for retirees and seniors. The host will be Barbara Burns. It will be an afternoon to enjoy delectable international culinary treats partnered with books and artifacts of travel and discovery. Individual stations of food samples will connect travel tales, advice, and moments of experience to an array of books intended to highlight select countries around the globe. This will be a wonderful opportunity to explore your new, modernized library — while traveling around the world on a Sunday afternoon!
