Allendale County Schools: Allendale County Fall Clean-up

Allendale County Schools issued the following announcement on September 30.

The South Carolina Alliance All for Allendale County Coordinator, Ms. Anne Rice, has partnered with Allendale County School District  to promote a County-wide Clean up Day for Allendale. 

Volunteers are asked to meet at Allendale Town Hall at 8 a.m. on Friday October 22 and Saturday October 23 to register and receive supplies. Pre registration is available upon request.

*Wear weather-appropriate work clothing and closed-toe shoes

*Safety over litter- Do not risk your safety or that of others to reach litter that is in potentially dangerous locations ( near vehicles, snakes, wildlife, etc.) Be wary of vehicle traffic on roads with high volume or high speed

*Be aware of potentially hot weather- Use bug spray and hydrate often!

*Make sure bags are closed securely

*Take bags to bins at one of the designated areas or the nearest Recycling Center. Designated areas include: Allendale Town Hall, Adjacent to Fairfax office building, or Farmers Grain in Ulmer

*Report most unusual item collected

*Take picture of bags with volunteers and send by text to:

Anne Rice, All for Allendale Coordinator at 803.259.6147. Include location and names!

*Return vests and litter sticks to registration desk by 1 p.m., Saturday October 23.
