Bamberg School District One issued the following announcement on September 30.
As required by the State Board of Education, South Carolina School Districts are required each year to census test all students in grade two with a nationally normed aptitude and achievement measure. These assessments, along with the scoring and reporting, are provided by the State Department of Education. Taken statewide are The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT- aptitude) and the Iowa (achievement). Our 2nd grade students will take the Cogat and IOWA tests on 10/11-10/15, 2021.
Your child’s profile narrative, which includes the test results for both the Iowa and the
CogAT will be sent home to you when we receive them in January, 2020. This profile also
includes a detailed explanation of your child’s performance and suggests areas of strengths and weaknesses.
