Edisto Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on January 9.

“The Most Photographed Road in SC: Botany Bay Rd at Botany Bay Plantation, Edisto Island.

The last time I was there was close to 20 years ago, shortly after I first arrived the first time in SC. What a wonderful drive in to the plantation, as all roads are covered in ‘live’ oak trees (live oak trees do not lose their leaves in winter as opposed to regular oak trees). It was a wonderful drive from Charleston to Edisto Islan. Will do it again before I leave for the Keys.” Sharon Jones
