S.C. Gov. Henry McMaster and Democratic opponent Joe Cunningham of Charleston have agreed to a debate on Oct. 26. The debate will be live on SCETV and South Carolina Public Radio at 7 p.m.

SCETV’s Gavin Jackson, host of “This Week in South Carolina” will serve as the moderator and will be joined by Andy Shain of The Post and Courier.

McMaster is running for a second full term and, if he wins, will become the longest -serving governor in the state. [For much of the state’s history, governors could only serve one term.]
