Hampton County Sheriff’s Office issued the following announcement.

The Hampton County Sheriff’s Office has received reports of callers impersonating current or former HCSO Officers in attempts to obtain various personal or financial information. Please do not divulge any personal information to these criminals. This is not the manner in which the HCSO obtains information in reference to any investigation or any other matters. Be aware and do not become a victim to a scam. Be smart. Be safe.
