At 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, Jaidyn Devore, a former Barnwell High School standout, and her current team, the Howard Bison, were defeated 9-0 by the Arizona Wildcats in an NCAA Division I softball game.
The matchup, which marked their first meeting with the Wildcats this season, was held at Rita Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium.
Devore gave up two earned runs over 1.2 innings, issuing three walks while striking out one.
Howard’s next contest is set for Saturday, March 14, at 1 p.m. against the Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks at Washington Nationals Youth Academy.
