0Comments

Hurricane Ian has now developed into a category 1 hurricane and is expected to rapidly strengthen over the next few days.  Potential impacts to Edisto Beach include heavy rainfall, minor flooding beginning this Wednesday, with moderate flooding on Thursday and Friday, and tropical storm force winds beginning Thursday morning.  In preparation, the Town has made sand and sandbags available to the public for pickup.  The sandbags are available at the Edisto Beach Fire Station at Town Hall (2414 Murray Street) and the sand (which is self-serve) is located at the rear of Jungle Road Park parking lot (112 Jungle Road), in between McConkey’s Jungle Shack and the Sandbar Pizza Joint.
