Rack named 2022-2023 President of the Southeastern Renaissance Conference

Dr. Melissa J. Rack has been named 2022-2023 president of the Southeastern Renaissance Conference (SRC). The SRC is an organization of over 100 scholars and the second oldest regional conference in Renaissance studies in the United States. The conference is jointly sponsored by UNC Chapel Hill, Duke University, NC State University, and the University of South Carolina. The organization publishes Renaissance Papers, an annual journal first established in 1954.

As president, Dr. Rack will be organizing the 80th Annual Meeting of SRC at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in October of 2023. This will be SRC’s first in-person meeting since COVID. Rack is an assistant professor of English at USC Salkehatchie.
