Shorebird Stewards are the boots on the ground that help educate beachgoers about the importance of sharing the shore with our nesting and migratory beach birds.
This training will prepare volunteers to be effective Stewards and help participants understand the effect human disturbance has on these vulnerable beach birds. We will also discuss possibilities to get more involved in coastal stewardship, so we invite anyone interested in coastal bird conservation to join!
Training will take place at Edisto Beach State Park’s Environmental Learning Center on Thursday 8/25 from 10am-12pm. Registration is required and will be capped at 30 participants.
