65 percent of applicants to Voorhees College were admitted for fall 2018

At Voorhees College, 93 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Denmark enrolled 491 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 5.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

70 percent of undergraduates are residents of South Carolina, and 28 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (96 percent) and white (1 percent).

The school admitted 65 percent of the 7,212 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 3 percent enrolled.
