Town of Edisto Beach issued the following announcement on November 4.
OVERVIEW:
High astronomical tides and gusty northeasterly winds will cause significant coastal flooding along the
southeast South Carolina and southeast Georgia coasts.
TIMING ▪ COASTAL FLOODING: Coastal flooding will remain a threat with each high tide
cycle through the rest of the week and the weekend.

IMPACTS
▪ COASTAL FLOODING: Major coastal flooding is anticipated during the morning
high tides starting today (Thursday) and lasting through Sunday. In addition, rainfall is
anticipated during the Saturday morning high tide, which will worsen impacts.
NWS ALERTS
▪ COASTAL FLOOD WATCHES, WARNINGS OR ADVISORIES: A Coastal
Flood Warning is in effect for Charleston and Colleton county coasts for this
mornings high tide. A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect starting from the Beaufort
County coast and continuing south to McIntosh County as well as for Tidal Berkeley.
Additional Coastal Flood headlines are likely again with each high tide cycle for the
rest of the week and the upcoming weekend.

The Town will continue to post weather alerts. We are also monitoring with tidal gauges. Expect flooding in low lying areas and on Palmetto Blvd, Scott Creek Road, Yacht Club Road and Docksite.
