Town of Edisto Beach issued the following announcement on November 9.
According to the Town's tidal gauge on Bay Creek, tides exceeded 9.0 ft. which resulted in significant flooding on Edisto Beach. Unfortunately our tidal gauge was submerged and did not record the highest tidal level. This is being remedied by elevating our tidal gauge another foot.
