Hampton County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on March 31.

Homebound seniors across the nation depend on you, and you showed up. You donated. You took action. You tweeted. You volunteered. We want to keep that momentum up to keep Meals on Wheels around for the next 50 years and beyond. Good Morning America: Meals on Wheels Serves Record Numbers Amid Inflation

As high gas prices and inflation impact the cost of preparing meals and the pandemic continues to isolate older, at-risk Americans, Meals on Wheels programs keep providing help for seniors in the communities they serve.
