There will be a Covid-19 Booster Shot Clinic at Edisto Beach Town Hall 2414 Murray Street, Edisto Beach, SC 29438 on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. 1pm-2pm
Pharmacist Jay Watts will be administering Pfizer (Comirnaty) and Moderna (Spikevax) Covid-19 doses for individuals aged 12 to adult. These vaccines are the same Moderna and Pfizer vaccines as previous doses. They now have FDA-approved brand names.
These vaccines are the best protection available for preventing serious disease and death from all forms of Covid-19, including Delta, Omicron, and the highly contagious new BA.5 variant.
There is no out-of-pocket cost for shots, but please bring Driver’s License, Prescription insurance card, and Medicare Card (if applicable).
The first booster shot may be administered 5 months after the completion of the primary 2 shot series to all age groups.
A second booster may be administered to individuals over 50 years old 4 months after receiving their first booster shot.
If you have had Covid-19 illness recently, you should wait at least 10 days after feeling better to get boosted.
