Free Litter Cleanup Supplies Available at Libraries in Aiken County
Keep Aiken County Beautiful In partnership with the library system in Aiken County, has launched a new program to help community cleanup efforts. Three public libraries in rural Aiken County are now offering “litter kits” for patrons. Each library will be provided with litter cleanup supplies including, safety vest, trash bags, latex gloves, litter grabbers and safety instructions from Keep Aiken County Beautiful.
The provided supplies are free for individuals. If there is a group needing supplies for a litter cleanup, they are asked to please contact Keep Aiken County Beautiful. The used supplies should not be returned to the library. Residents are encouraged to keep the litter removal supplies and use them again and again. Participants are responsible for disposing of bagged litter. Volunteers are also asked to share photos of their efforts on social media and tag Keep Aiken County Beautiful in your post.
The first three libraries to receive the supplies are: New Ellenton Branch Library, located at 113 Pine Hill Avenue, Nancy Bonnette Branch Library (Wagener), located at 204 Park Street NE, and Jackson Branch Library located at 106 Main Street, in Jackson. There are plans to provide litter supplies at all the public library locations in Aiken County.
