The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network News – Tell Congress: Make Cancer Care More Affordable

Sign The Cancer Care Petition:

If a cancer diagnosis has touched your life or that of someone you love, you know how much courage it takes to endure treatment. It’s also expensive, which adds stress when families need to focus most on getting through a very difficult time.

For 20 years, the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) has worked to pass legislation and advance policy changes that save more lives from cancer. ACS CAN has identified three key steps Congress must take to make quality cancer care more affordable:

— Expand access to quality, affordable health care for more than 2 million people currently in the Medicaid coverage gap

— Cap out-of-pocket costs on prescription drugs for seniors and others on Medicare Part D

— Secure more affordable health care by making increased Affordable Care Act subsidies permanent

Now, we need your voice to urge lawmakers to act.

Please take a moment today to read the petition and add your name. We need as many people as possible to speak up to show Congress that this is a priority for Americans everywhere.

Thank you for acting now to fight the high cost of cancer treatment.
