Town of Edisto Beach issued the following announcement on July 16.
Republic Services did not complete the Friday garbage pickup on July 16. They had 2 trucks break down and sent rear loaders which slows down the process since the containers have to be manually emptied. The truck they sent today maxed out. About 100-150 properties were not completed. We are working to have another truck come tomorrow (Sunday). Laws that limit how many hours a CDL driver can drive a week and difficulty obtaining repair parts for the trucks is impacting out service. We apologize for the inconvenience.
